Description
RockShox MAG SL ti 1994 Vintage Fork 26"Here's a chance to obtain an absolute icon from the early 90's: a RockShox MAG SL ti, born in 1994 and top of the range back then with 00.
This item is still in its original box. I cannot determine the condition of this article since I bought this from a shop inventory. There are only some minor marks at the mounts showing that a wheel has been mounted but this fork doesn't look used intensively. No scratches or whatsoever, also the 1 1/4" steerer tube is full length, uncut (10 inch length), no base plate has been mounted, and no starnut is implemented.
As said the steer diameter measures 1 1/4" which makes this a perfect asset for a vintage Yeti MTB. But, since 1 1/8" is more common, a steerer tube of this size is also included. The length of this steerer tube is about 7 inches.
PLEASE CHECK THE PICS CAREFULLY FOR CONDITION
.
As you can see the colors of the lower legs differ: the right leg is darker than the left leg. This was a known issue with these forks at the time. The magnesium corroded somewhat under the transparent gold varnish which shows, especially on the top of the lower legs, at the stanchions.
Original titanium cantilever (or V-brake) bosses are mounted. Titanium crown bolts. Decals are still 100% intact. The brace is absolutely scratch free, I cannot tell if this is original or repainted maybe. All in all it looks good! Check pics!
You are looking at some well documented history here! What is included:
The Fork itself
The Original Box
Rubbers
Extra Crown w/ ti hardware and 1 1/8 Steerer Tube (mint cond.)
Original Pump (Collectors Item on itself)
Original Owners Manual
Original RockShox Racing Sticker (2.5x4")
All in all you are bidding on a rare item in this condition. For restoration, showcase, show bike or actual use *)
HAPPY BIDDING
(Don't wanna wait? Buy now ;)
*) Mind this:
although this fork is in fair condition for her age (25+), I
strongly
advise having this fork serviced by a professional before eventual use. This fork is a so called bicycle shop barn find so I haven't tested it, and also have no knowledge about its past. We are talking about a fork of almost 3 decades old.
I am not responsible for any damage as a result of using this product.
