Description
This an used (slightly damaged) complete airmail envelope with text from Sierra Leone. It has a Diamond necklace stamp attached to it. This is the old style airmail envelope that is actually just one piece of thin blue paper that you fold over to send by mail. This one was written in type writing on the back (not pictured, but fully covered page with text) by a writer with the name of Turnbull, living in Sierra Leone and addressed to Helen and Ruth Hutchkins in Salem, Oregon. The writer speaks about three years in the Massanga Leprosarium. It is dated September 20, 1967.
