I recently purchased this sawfrom Amazon, works great cutting soft acrylic, metal and wood as specified by themanufacturer. However my needs changed to include sawing logsfor which this saw was not capable. Ipurchased a larger band saw to replace this one, but could not return this sawto Amazon as I went past the return deadline. Wen 3959 9-inch Benchtop Band Saw thathas been mounted on a small wood base for portability. The saw guides and thrust bearing clearanceshave been adjusted per the Wen 3959 manual that comes with this item. I recommend the buyer readjust these settingsbefore use. Originallypurchased this saw due to the great reviews on Amazon and other Band Saw reviewsites , this is one of the best lower cost high performance band saws on the market right now.
